Botschaften der Erde sind von lokaler Natur: ein bestimmter Ort spricht zu einer bestimmten Zeit, eine bestimmte Landschaft ist der Inbegriff einer bestimmten Erfahrung.
Eine dieser Botschaften sind Asfaltbrocken, die aus Gebieten mit Starkniederschlägen bei Rutschungen und Muren in die Salzach geschwemmt wurden. Ich habe sie auf den Kiesbänken im Stadtgebiet von Salzburg gesammelt.
In die eiszeitlichen Sedimente der Schotterterrassen kann man die Asfaltbrocken als Spuren des Anthropozän klassifizieren.
Messages from the earth are of a local nature: a certain place speaks at a certain time, a certain landscape is the epitome of a certain experience.
One of these messages is chunks of branches that have been swept into the Salzach from areas with heavy precipitation during landslides and mudslides. I collected them on the gravel banks in the city of Salzburg.
In the glacial sediments of the gravel terraces, the ash chunks can be classified as traces of the Anthropocene.
